Update: In response to COVID

Campus Updates amid COVID
February 4, 2022

As we sift through the Covid numbers (i.e. new cases, hospitalizations, vaccinations, deaths), we can get overwhelmed. It is true that the Omicron variant has brought this awful disease closer to home, and into our homes in these short 2 months. Only God can supply a foundation of hope and joy. However, only each individual can decide how much exposure to others is acceptable.

Thus, St. Matthew’s will offer worship this Sunday (February 6th) in several ways:
Let us keep each other safe and supported:– The 10:00 Worship Service will be held in the sanctuary; with masks, sitting in family units, and giving loving space for all who wish to be in-person.
– Communion will be taken at home or on the patio after Life of the Church.
The Worship Service will be available on Facebook Live at 10:00 am on Sunday. A recording will be posted to YouTube and on our website on Sunday afternoon.
– Coffee Fellowship will be restarted when we are able.Tuesday Night Study will be Zoom only this week.
– Women’s Thursday Study will be continued on Zoom.Men’s Wednesday Study will be held on the patio and Zoom will be offered.
– We are counting on each of you to continue to support our ministry with your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.
– Thank you to the Membership Care Team for starting calls to all the St. Matthew’s family.
This Sunday, we will explore Luke 5:1-11 and Jesus call for us to fish off the “right side of the boat”. Read ahead of time and join us however the Lord leads you. Comments on Facebook are welcome.

11For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29 11-12

Peace for our Journey Together,
Pastor Jim
